Agony of slavery
Waves crash against the ship's hull,
But the sound is drowned out by cries of agony.
Eyes cast down, chained in darkness,
They journey across the sea.
Hopelessness wraps around their hearts,
Like a heavy, suffocating cloak.
Their restless souls yearn for freedom,
As their bodies suffer the yoke.
Tears stream down their faces,
As they long for a better life.

From distant shores, they were taken,
Far from their families and friends.
Their hearts filled with sorrow and pain,
As their journey never ends.
Chained and beaten, they toil on,
With little hope to keep them strong.
But still they dream of a brighter day,
Where freedom's song will be sung.

Years pass, but still they suffer,
As their dreams are left unfulfilled.
But in their darkest hour, a glimmer of hope,
A faint whisper of freedom is spilled.
A new land calls to them,
Where freedom's promise rings true.
They bravely step into the unknown,
With nothing left to lose.

At last, they reach the shore,
Where freedom's light shines bright.
The chains that bound them are broken,
And their hearts fill with delight.
A new life awaits them,
As they leave the past behind.
They embrace the future with hope and joy,
As they find freedom of mind.
