One Wink Spoke Volume
One wink spoke volume!
Growing up was fun and at the risk of sounding old fashioned permit me to shed light on one experience I had back in the days.
The older ones need not say go to your room as a wink was enough to communicate a paragraph and yes, the recipient sure did understand.
On that faithful day, an august visitor shows up. After the reasons surrounding his visit was done with, as he stepped out, he sought to lift out some currency from his pocket and sharply the wink from the mother of the house came the way of yours sincerely.
In split seconds, I took my eyes off hers' and let out my hand for to receive the kind gesture from our august visitor.
We sought to bid him goodbye little did I know that my allowance for the next week I also did bid goodbye.
My lessons I sure learnt and a wink on a later date spoke volume and I never failed to allign.
