The Loner Bench
I sat there in the twilight, observing the people walking by on the seashore, and I began to wonder.
I sit here, unappreciated, unnoticed, slowly corroding, only to finally become dust someday. Is this the sole purpose of my life?
I thought about all the people I had comforted and all the conversations I had heard. But I found no answer.
Slowly, the starts began to light up the sky and as I gazed upon them, I was reminded how infinitesimally small I was. And I understood.
The only true purpose of life is to reunite with nature one day.
Death makes life complete.
