My Strong Woman .
“We are born of love; Love is our mother. Mother is the name for God in the lips and hearts of little children. When you look into your mother’s eyes, you know that is the purest love you can find on this earth. A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.”These words always echo within me whenever I see my mother.
My mother Christiana by name is the most beautiful person in my life. When I was a little girl, I wouldn’t stop following my mother around and I cried a lot whenever she wasn’t with me. Most of the time , people do make fun of me saying that I will stick to my mother forever and I didn’t feel bad because of those words.
As I began to grow ,the love I have for my mother also grew. I remembered the first day I started schooling. I was five years old then and was very excited about going to school. I couldn’t stop talking about it until it was finally the D day . My mother personally took me to school by herself and registered me but when she was about to leave I wouldn’t let go of her. Maybe I thought that she would also be staying in the school with me. I held on to her hands tightly and refused to let go. I began to cry as she was trying to loosen my hold on her . After a lot of effort, a teacher came and carried me . I cried and cried refusing to be comforted until I sighted my mother. She came over to me held my hands and told my teacher that I will be starting school the next day. I didn’t mind and was very happy as all that mattered to me then was the fact that my mother was with me.
When we arrived home , my mother sat down and told me to sit beside her which I did happily then she looked at me held my hands and asked me “ My dear ,do you love mummy?” Without hesitation I said yes and she asked me again “Do you want to make mummy proud?” I nodded then she smiled and patted my head.
