Angel bit her lip as he eased toward her, his chest angled toward hers, as if in an inviting manner. She felt a shiver run through her, even though she wasn't cold.

'I-' was all she could stammer before his lips met hers and she melted in his arms.

He kissed her softly as he gently held her hips, holding her close to him.

He suddenly pulled back, horror on his face.

'I'm- I'm so sorry.' He stammered, panic in his stunning eyes.

'No- wait- Carson, I-' Angel tried to explain the longing in her heart, the longing she had felt for so long. But he had left and closed the door before she could.

'I love you.' She finished with a whisper, sighing at the end. 'I wish you knew.'
