A Broken Mirror
#WritcoStoryPrompt36
Write a short story that uses atleast two of the given situations:
3. A broken mirror.
Sasha looked in the mirror again or at least what was left of it .
The remains of the fragmented pieces that still clung to the circular wooden structure that once housed the mirror itself made her remember what she'd heard about spiders or was it flies or just insects in general?
she remembered something having to do with their eyes....
Ah, yes, how their eyes were like tiny kladeoscopes
Each fragmented piece of the mirror still attached to the circular frame showed her how she looked in her current state.
She robbed her bloodied palm across her face, eyes peeking in-between the cracks of her fingers.
She stared back at herself not how disoriented she looked.
She sighed.
She had to get a new one on her way from the grocery store
She rapped her fingers on the locker that sat underneath the mirror, her eyes studying the keyhole for which the key was never found for.
It wasstrange how the key just went missing after her mom died
She was never allowed into her mother's room anyway, hence her cluelessness on what it contained.
She let out another sigh before marching out of the room.
