Silence had become a very deadly part of today.

The sorrow, tears ,and pain.

When i heard the news i was shocked, i never thought, i never imagined it would end this way,i never imagined the first funeral i would attend would be hers.

Death is cruel, but humans are crueler, Victoria Dantes was a victim of the cruelty of the vultures called humans,

I knew she was sad i knew she needed me, i could never be her good friend, i could never really understand her.

Maybe she just wanted to be loved, to be heard, to be understood. Maybe beneath that frown and that bold front, that angry face. There was a little girl begging to be loved. to be wanted, to fit in to this world. This world of vultures. Did she realise the cruelty of this world? Or did she die because she couldn't accept the fact that she couldn't fit in? i don't know any more.

All i know, is that I'm here, attending her funeral, a funeral where the vultures are gathered. I couldn't protect her i never could, if only i had told her i loved her, if only i had stopped her, if only if only.

"I can't continue like this", i pressed my hands against her coffin, the coldness i felt the emptiness, was it guilt? Or pain? I didn't know.

Soon Mr and Mrs Dantes came up, shedding crocodile tears.

" our daughter, Victoria Dantes is dead, we loved her so much, we still can't believe you are gone"

Anger bottled up inside me. they killed her, those hypocrites.

" i hope you are safe where ever you are" Mrs Dantes said as she ushers Mariana who can't seem to hide her happiness to come up.

i see Cole behind Bruce, why they are here i have no clue. all i know is that am dying to scream the truth out. i was there, when, when...

"My dear sister, sleep well." Was i the only one who noticed Mariana's smirk? Of course not. they are all smirking,Cole,Bruce Tyler , Mariana and  Ria all of them are smirking...

Rage bottles up inside me as Mariana continues her false speech.

"We loved each other so much,we always looked out for each other,"
Bruce coughs from behind, i cant believe they are being sarcastic about her death.

"I never thought she would die such a pathetic death, suicide is a weak path out of life" Mariana said

My mind battled on what to do, do i wait her and pretend like nothing is going on. or do i go out there are be the voice Victoria never had?

"Sadly my sister died before her time its such a pity i know she had no plans for the future but still... this is such a pathetic way to-.."

" enough!" I said unable to believe that was my voice, no. It wasn't my  voice. This is Victoria's voice, this is the voice she never.. ever had.

"Stop this hypocrisy!"tears slid down my eyes. As the eyes of cruel vultures tried to oppress my voice.

"What is the meaning of this liliana?" Mariana said.

"I should be asking you that!? What is the meaning of this!, why is nobody saying anything?why are you, why are you ruining Victoria's name? , calling her pathetic, weak, and useless." I said still unable to believe I'm saying this.

"I'm just saying things as they are!, Victoria was-  my sister, and i loved her."

"Then why?why did you pause just now, why couldn't you say it the way you said before?huh? You said you loved her, yet you, you let her suffer!, what sort of love was that."

"Liliana respect yourself and our family."Mrs Dantes said

"Respect is reciprocal mam" i said.

"what did you say again, 'our daughter is dead, last i remember, you didn't even know Victoria or did you?, you gathered the press her to showcase you unity at the expense of Victoria's reputation. 'Some mother you are!'. How wouldn't she have committed suicide in a family like this:
A mother who never loved or wanted her and a father who left her when she was just  three."

"Stop this now!" Cole said

"Aren't you one to talk?, you rapist!." I said my rage setting in.

"What did you say?"

"I said you are a rapist!" He grabs my hand.,

"what will you do?, will you hit me like you hit Victoria." Murmurs came from the crowd.

"Or no, why don't you just strip me down like you did to her?"

" all of you are nothing but hypocrites, why didn't you say you loved her before. maybe just maybe she would be alive.if you hadn't treated her like crap,Mrs Dantes.
if you had never left Mr Dantes. if you were here for her Mariana and you hadn't betrayed her Cole, if i had listened, i would bet my life she would still be alive. "

I said as i walked away knowing,i was able to do something for her even if it was already too late.
