THE POT OF STRANGE MEAT
Three monkeys went out to look for food because there was severe famine where they lived.
After walking for six miles in the jungle, they came across a pot full of roasted meat.
The meat looked strange; not like any kind they have seen or eaten before, but it smelled really good.
The first monkey said:
"I swear, I know meats too well, this is grass-cutter meat."
The second monkey argued:
"No, I bet I do better with meats than you, this is squirrel meat."
Both of them argued angrily until they started to punch each other.
They expected the third monkey to share his opinion on the argument but he was quiet.
They both roared at him:
"Idiot, are you not going to say anything?".
The third monkey said:
"What else is so necessary now? We are tired and hungry. Can we just eat this meat and go back home?".
END OF STORY.
MORAL LESSON:
There is no need wasting too much time and energy on things which are useless to our souls.
Necessity is all that matter.
