Bachelor's Lady
I feel like my head will explode any moment now. I massage my temple and tried my best not to talk back. This is business. I should not bring any personal desires and issues here.

"Okay, so Ms. Rogers. I'll email or message you once we finalized the contract and the things that you want. You can now take your leave."

The woman across me just stared at me. She's wearing a country style and it's obvious that she's a farm girl. That's why I keep on getting headaches. I just don't know how to approach this woman. She keeps on nagging and debating with me. I don't even know what's she's trying to point out!

"Umm, Ms. Rogers?"

"My father told me to marry you."

I chuckled. Oh, now she's getting cle- wait what?!

"Pardon?"

"My father told me to marry you."

She repeated without blinking. Is she serious?! I know that I'm handsome and I'm rich and I'm obviously, smart, but she's too straightforward I can't keep up!

"I get that, I mean, why? Why me?"

"Because you'll be buying our farm and we need money."

Oh, so it's because of money? Not my looks, huh. Interesting.

I composed myself and looked straight to her eyes.

"Do you want to marry me?"

She didn't respond. She just looked at me as if she can read through me. I may look like an open book but I'm encrypted.

"No. But I will do anything for our farm."

I nodded. She's too interesting. I met a few ladies and most of them are head-over-heels to me. Some are like her who pretends not to care about me but in reality, they are already drooling while looking at me. Well, I can't blame them. I'm too irresistable. Besides, I'm the next president of the Montecillo's. People are always interested in me.

"I'll call you over my office once we settled a decision. For now, let's just wait and see what will happen to the two of us."

She stood up, bowed at me and then leave.

I like her. I think I could date her, for the mean time. I mean, I still need to consult to Grandpa and the others. I don't want to commit to something without any details. I know that Grandpa will do a background check and tell me everything.

Let's see what will happen to us, Ms. Rogers. Or should I say, Mrs. Darwynn Chadd Cuevas-Montecillo?
