A Complete Woman

She smiled with quiet determination,
The journey was tough but so was she...
She collected the stones thrown at her and built a fort for her with those stones of insults. She stood up for herself moving one step at a time. Everyone can pounce on their prey, but only the lioness moves silently, enemies unaware of her presence. Her spirit is no less of a lioness. The single working mother who was suppressed under the age old " what will people say" phrase finally started her independent super speciality restaurant with more than 12 trained chefs working under her supervision. A column was recently published on a national newspaper with her picture on the front page headlined as "what will people say?" In her interview she was asked what was her secret? - To this she proudly exclaimed " It's just a matter of perspective - tons of people used to remind me that i am a mother and should look after my husband and children and cook for them from time to time. While i would have done that happily, I always believed that a woman should have a identity of her own without her name being associated with her father, brother, husband or any other male members of her family. I am a person of my own and unlike any other individual i have dreams and ambitions which i can fulfill even with a responsibility of a kid. " A drop of tear rolled down her left cheek followed by a deep sigh of satisfaction as she completed reading her interview alongside her son who hugged his mother proudly.
