Sunday Sorrow
Sundays will never be the same again
Without your laughter and shenanigans
You nudging me softly to wake up for breakfast
Watching me sing the hymns proudly the chorus

Cooking up a storm in the kitchen for lunch
We make a great team, an awesome bunch!
Out in the open air with all the family together
Cool breezy wind caressing us, how l love this weather!

These Sundays were ritual, happy day
I keep remembering all the songs we used to play
Dancing around, thinking they'll never one day end
It's not uncommon to feel this amazing then

They came and took you away on a stretcher
I stood and watched, painfully realising, I'll never be better
The efforts were all in vain and from you no response
I hated their words uttered from their mouths saying it's all lost

I hear the priest recite the final rites
I can't believe that you will be no longer by my side
Many look forward after Saturday, a holiday tomorrow
I will forever loathe it, for to me, it'll always be; Sunday Sorrow
