(the hunt)
I looked up at Austen smiling at his devoted fiancee
I didn't know when a new pang of jealousy overtook me

it first started with a Monday morning ride


I was really late to the meeting
because I was really in need of a job
and with me was just mi little purse of money I didn't wanted to take a ride because I knew I would go hungry
it was funny to say I would look like a wild animal seeking for whom to devour, the funny thing was that I lose myself when I get hungry.

looking forward to meeting the handsome CEO i had scrolled down the socials often staring down at his wonderful torso


it seems like the time was already far spend as I ran with my weak bones
though the doctor assurance made me rejoice at my normal diet of eating potatoes early at five
although it was normal for my stomach to rumble
perhaps it was the pills .
I was forced to adapt like a luscious babe seeking for a free ride since I got no extra change
the car window slided a little bit as he opened the car door
hop in he said

it was surprising for me to started adopting a strange behavior of pride
no thank you I whispered even if he could perhaps hear me a bit since the cold weather was unfavourable and the street uproar was killing
it seems he took it for a joke as he slightly revealed is smile
no wonder he was just a well made ceo
I'm sorry I don't receive ride from strangers
I hope I would be waiting for a persuasion but to mi surprised he made a move from my position
i didn't knew what made me landed on his cars seat
it was then i knew I had lost my ego since I quickly rush at is steady race
I'm sorry i apologized I thought you were one of those men nowadays
I swallowed hard trying to find a word to hide my foolishness
to mi surprise he didn't say a single word until his phone rang
he mentioned something like an airport
was he joking about him taking me to my destination
it was then I knew I was totally foolish indeed I was
what made me stop by the road side to catch a free ride in the cold weather like a random girl?
was it my job?or the offer ?
I rubbed my shoulder on his slightly as he looked straight at my nervous cheek it waa totally burning.
the pressure subsided as he looked back at his wrist watch
then the airport thing came to my mind
was he there to pick up his fiancee
no he wouldn't have a wife at this age since he was a business tipe
as he looked at his wrist watch
he reminded me of my stupidity
so where do you say ure stopping
oh gosh I ranked my brain
the address wasn't in any way coming through my head and my major mistake wasn't even sure of what's popping through my head
don't worry
I whispered when we get there I'll tell you to stop
my words were somewhat shocking to him as he made a chocking sound
was he trying to get on my nerves?
it certainly wasn't a joke
I wondered what's funny
alright he whispered trying to sound more of official
looking at ur left I think we're almost turning to Alive street
I heard of that street when I was a teen
it was right under my nose when I witnessed a factory worker fall from a building. it was one of the worsts days
but this was probably one of the worst days of my entire life
getting to wake up early at five and find an handsome man talking proudly about these street was annoying
it was better than craving for hot dog and finding out it was a dream
she wondered where are craving would result her into
she hated everyone especially her mom for restraining her from taking her favorites
she sighted the smell of something seducing coming out of the side of his napkin box was he hiding something
if he could only knew how she could go crazy for food particularly a piece of 🌭 hotdog , he would realize his mistake earlier of agreeing to take her.
