He looks to the skies.

She looks down to him.

And he reached out to her.

Welcome home, my friend.

The day I return home 🏡
Will be so special.

"Danni, Danni wake up," his mother called. "Time for school, honey!"

Danni took off his rainbow 🌈 blankets and dolphin 🐬 sheets, heading down the stairs.

(oops, forgot to say my morning 🌞 prayers and wash 💦)

He sat down at the breakfast 🍳 🥞 🥓🥓 table, already set with 🍽️ fork and spoon 🥣. His mother had bacon, eggs and pancakes with a small bowl of Golden Graham's just like he preferred. After slurping up the last remaining drop of the sugary milk 🥛, Danni headed out to the bus 🚌 stop 🚏.

The sky was crystal clear today with a very bright 🌞 sunshine; but strangely too a wonderful full rainbow 🌈 without a single cloud 🌨️ or drop ☔ of rain. This caught Danni by surprise, as his eyes 👀 and ears 👂👂 missed as the bus 🚌 zipped by onto the school 🏫🎒.

"Oh SHOOT!" He exclaimed.

But before he could fully process he'd have to walk 5 miles to school, a wonderful happenstance occurred.

"What is that?" Danni said. "Strange!"

And he slowly walked up to it a ways off. It was metallic Silver, but the reflective sheen gave it an effervescent aura, because of the rainbow 🌈. And he was dazzled and entranced by its brilliance.

A doorway opened, steps leading up. He gazed into the vehicle, slowly left then right.

"HI!" A young girl exclaimed. She suddenly appeared out of Nowhere.

(Where did she come from? Hmm!)

"You're Danni, right?" She asked.

Danni didn't know how to reply. "Ah, yeah."

"I'm Sparkles," the little girl responded. "And this here," she held up a strange, furry little creature, "is Moxpet."

The little cutie wiggled its ears and short little snout. "Quequeloolooboo!" It giggled and squeaked.

Danni was dazzled and amazed; and as she held out her hand, he took Sparkles invitation onto the little flying orb.

It closed up behind him, sealing them both in.

Danni looked all around him.

There were NO controls. 🛸

"Um Sparkles," he started. "How will this fly?"

Sparkles laughed and Moxpet giggled. "Why I am the controller, and Moxpet guides. Heehee, we're a double act!"

Danni scratched his head, as the orb zipped off quite quickly from the ground.

Beyond the rainbow ✨ in the sky way way up high. His home 🏡 now a tiny dot, he could see the school 🏫 with all his friends and classmates going inside. He imagined the school bell 🔔 ring with a dainty

DING DING DING!

But he was high, so very high, up into the sky. Soon even the Earth 🌎 became a small dot until it too completely disappeared. The 🌝 Moon 🌠 followed, then too the sun 🌞.

"Where are we going," Danni finally asked.

Sparkles ✨💖 just smiled at Danni, ever so brightly, and Moxpet gave him a hug. "You're home Danni," she replied. "We're going to go ... wherever your heart desires!"

And Moxpet put a bracelet around Danni's wrist. He felt a strange power emanating from his heart and mind. And he had a sudden urge to make a decision.

"I say, second star dear Sparkles, to the right," he smiled with his Star Trek line. "And, straight on into the Morning."
