Chapter 5
We left early the next morning,after I had packed the little belongings I could call my own and said my goodbyes to my aunt. The only form of long distance transportation was the train.
My uncle had already made all the necessary arrangements for our journey, we reached the train station and went straight to the waiting section,were people waited as they call numbers on our ticket to board the train.
The path for the train to follow was built underground so there was nothing to see as we traveled. I couldn't count how many times I fell asleep, then my mind wonder to when we left for the station. I had thought the journey from my house to the station was far,but this was on a whole new level.
Although my father was a general, this was the first time I traveled this far, leaving Peritus had never occurred to me,not even once. But here I was on a journey to the heart of Tartus, Remus city.
After what seemed to be days, a young woman came out and announced that it had been two days since we started and that we would be approaching our destination very soon.
A ray of sunlight woke me up as the train emerged from under the ground and came to a stop. Our luggages were carried by some of the men that accompanied my uncle.
I came out of the train, taking in my new environment, even the buildings were alot than that in Peritus,they were larger, as my uncle and I headed out of the station I couldn't help but notice that unlike Peritus the love for nature has reduced in this part of the kingdom.
‘sir, your ride is here’ an elderly man said to my uncle bringing me back to reality. Although trains could not be used for Intercity transportation we had carriages that were being pulled by tamed magical beast, the one we were about to enter was pulled by a crocodile beast.
