B/R: GODFRED GYAMFI 11, BEATEN MERCILESSLY FOR LEAVING HIS SCHOOL BAG OUTSIDE.
Godfred Gyamfi , 11 , a class four (4) pupil of Sarah Donkor Preparatory School at Goka in the Jaman North district has been beaten mercilessly by his step Dad for leaving his school bag outside after school.
Speaking to the Mr. Afram Enoch headmaster of the said school, says on Thursday after school he was going home with Gyamfi , but he spotted a stain of blood in his uniform.
He asked Gyamfi and he explained to him he was beaten by his step Dad for failure to keep his school bag indoors.
The victim Gyamfi, said he left his bag outside after school and his step Dad asked him to bring the bag inside if not he Mr. Kwaku Carpenter will beat him and as he used to do that all the times to him, so fears griped Gyamfi so he left the house to go sleep somewhere.
Mr. Kwaku Carpenter in search of Gyamfi around 10pm in the night saw him and used his own belt on the boy which led him sustained severe injuries at his hands and back.
According to Mr. Afram Enoch as he couldn't hold on to such an unreasonable act by his step Dad , he took pictures and videos of the injuries on his hands and back , Mr. Carpenter threatened to deal with him if he let police arrest him.
He the Headmaster reported him to police, which led the arrest Mr. Carpenter on Sunday.
According to the Headmaster, said he was handed over the DOVVSU headquarters at Berekum but yesterday he saw Mr. Carpenter in his house which he don't know what happened as he was referred to the DOVVSU headquarters at Berekum.
So he was compelled to go and asked why Mr. Carpenter was granted bail just after he was handed over to DOVVSU headquaters at Berekum, but the police told him they know nothing about Mr. Carpenter been left by the DOVVSU headquarters at Berekum.
Mr. Enock said Gyamfi, who sustained severe injuries were sent to Goka clinic for treatment after the incident, is now in good condition and even went to school today .
