Life is so fragile, it's too short to settle for the not needed and unwanted. You get use to things being one way now having it to be another. Some of us are alone with no one to be with and some are married and alone. God only knows what happens but I know it's really nice to have someone.
Bali had gone out with some guys some that didn't quite know what they wanted and some that just wanted sex and some that wanted a prey.
Not knowing what to expect anymore she had given up on dating. Now excepting it, she was finally getting use to being alone until now.
You know how it is you go along time not being attracted to anyone then you meet someone. Darwin wasn't a physical attraction for her yeah he is nice looking but a face and body is not what attracts her. She liked that he went out of his way to talk to her how nice and polite he was when they talked.
Now her thoughts of him were starting to activate how serious he was in comparison to the last guy she dated. She just couldn't figure out guys like that.
How they could mess things up but blame her for not wanting to talk to them afterwards.
They complained about the way she acted after they treated her like she was nothing but they refused to admit that them treating her bad was the reason that she wouldn't date them anymore.
See there are some women that like that crap excuse my French but she isn't one of those type women
that will stay in abuse for the sake of whatever excuse to come up with.
She couldn't understand how a woman could go back to a predator with no love excusing death.
The last guy she dated wanted her to change ever five minutes after seeing others that he liked the looks of.
She couldn't believe the things that came out of his mouth how he talked to her calling her bitches, and whores among other things.
There were others that talked that way she couldn't understand why they didn't understand why some women wouldn't date them no matter how good looking they are or why they were so empty hollow.
Darwin on the other hand seem to be a respectable guy so far. This man made her curious no man had done that for a long time. She wanted to know things, more about him he is a friend of a friend and a excuse is an excuse she told herself.
Bali sometimes spent her Saturday at Daisy's house not having to work on the weekends
but now she was nervous about it. She got there about 10 that morning and he was already there sitting in the kitchens.
Where's everybody?
getting dressed,
morning he said looking down in his coffee.
"good morning I'm sorry
Bali said walking out of the kitchen she noticed that her nerves were stirred her heart had sped up.
Daisy came down and the weekend got started
It's nice to have friends where you're welcome those that you can be you around Bali told Daisy.
Girl you know you're welcome to my house anytime
no matter what,
"that's because you're real
"no it's because our friendship is real Daisy said
I should've call you to tell you that Darwin would be here.
Why? he's Danny's friend well he's y'all friend I expect he'd be here
"so what's his story?
Well he was born and raised here he fell in love with a woman that he met in college they married and moved to her home town. He lived in Vero for years they don't have any kids

Bali said and her?
She didn't love him, he brought home a couple time but to her we were just not her kinda people.
We were too relaxed she wanted to go out and party
she dress well kinda over dress you know the type always wanting to be the center of attention.
They got a divorce and he moved back here a couple months ago joined that Real estate team and got himself a house.
The ladies joined the guys outside they were both
standing at the grill talking.
You're always grilling here man y'all never come to place come to think of it.
You never invited us
We grill at my place next week Darwin said.
This is becoming a weekend thing Bali said,
What else is there to do Darwin asked good food, good company nice drinks.
" I noticed that you don't Ms Bali.
you're starting to notice a lot about me Bali thought
I don't have a want to be high I like the way I feel without it.
"You mean sober,
"yeah me Bali said.
So you never drank he asked
I had my time drinking I also smoked my share of weed when I was younger but I realized that I like the way I feel without it she said.
I stopped all that when I was about 25.
They stood there talking for a few minutes until Daisy called her in to help with the food.
After getting in Bali shook her head,
"girl that thang is hot his voice aggravates the hell outta my soul I haven't been around anybody like that since Frederick.
His dress was comfortable casual loose fit black slacks a sleek tee with a open button down.He wore a school boy clean cut with a small diamond in his left ear. They sat talking about old times how things use to be so simple when respect was still in the world. It felt nice a slight breeze in the evening air the music was soft and the company was mellow. He sat across from her a glance or two was all between them that evening nothing more. She closed her eyes relaxed her mind getting her high on
the comfort of his presence. A thought can hold you so gently given the right circumstances, your body floats just above you relaxing in your seat.
They didn't have to say anything their eyes said it was nice just being right there right then. A soft look from him made her know that he was that special kind that could talk to you without saying a word.
