Corruption is paid by the Poor
Pope Francis is, indeed, right in his wise words that "corruption is paid by the poor". Corruption is a social menace which is known in the human thousand years history. Greed of the wealth, reputation, and fame, unfortunately, make human beings to commit this loathsome sin. Ultimately, the poor bear the brunt of this by having poor health facilities, fragile education services, broken infrastructure and income inequality. How can this be curbed? It will not be possible by turning poor into the wealthy but by justice.

"The opposite of poverty is not wealth: it's justice." Quote by World Bank Economist.

In the course of human history, each epoch faced the menace of human corruption. It is not solely related to the embezzlement, but also to the theft of someone's fundamental rights. In order to appease one's personal thirst, man commits this act. Sadly, in Pakistan, corruption is at hype. According to the Transparency International, Pakistan ranks amongst the most corruption ridden countries. To generate wealth, people at helm of the affairs are amassing public money. To get privileged status, some are moulding health and other public sectors in their favour. To gain justice, people give bribes to the officials. So, this sin occurs due to manly, unworthy desires which in turn causes many problems.

Talking about the outcomes of corruption, the price is paid by the poor. If one is filling its treasury, it means other's rights over money and public facilities are being robbed. The health sector and education sector and other public sectors fail to provide deserved rights to the poor. Maternal mortality, infant mortality and infectious diseases are will increase at astronomical levels. Gender inequality will increase which will, in turn, bring national failure. Also, the progress or existence of any civilisation will fall flat due to the corruption: for example, mughal empire vanished due to horrendous levels of corruption by its nobles. So, the poor are the main affectees of corruption, and punitive measures must be taken to clean bring the change.

To counter it, government shall increase accountability of the individuals. Also, people should be given access to the equal justice delivery system. Next, legislative amendments be made to counter corruption with punitive measures. Also, educating the masses will also help to reduce corruption as education is a tool through which we can erase corruption.
Furthermore, there shall be equality between both genders in all walks of socio-political life All in all, these reforms must be implemented together with iron fist to clean corruption and to give access to the poor.

In conclusion, it is fundamental to deliver equitable justice. Otherwise, poor wil keep on paying the price of corruption. This menace will lead to decline in national progress. Civilisational progress depends on the status of honesty and integrity of the nobles. The assset of government is public trust. By implementing all reforms, delivery of equitable resources to the poor will be possible and corruption will be wiped out completely.
