Until this case was settled, Alex needed to make sure he and Sara’s relationship appeared to be and was completely platonic. He didn’t want it to look as if he was giving special treatment because of a relationship they appeared to be having; that would most certainly complicate things and possibly give a judge a reason for Jorge to be released and charges against him dropped.
