THE STRUGGLE: Breaking free!
I think the initial concept of feminism came to be because men have abused their privileges/rights, they have trampled on the rights of women. They are suppose to be superior because they are stronger physically and emotionally. They are suppose to care for the women but today the man wants/allows the woman to carry the greatest responsibilities.
I know you won't agree, so, let me break it down;
Our culture and religion (or atleast mine) has taught us that a man is suppose to be the provider of the family and the woman should take care of her husbands property, family and care for their home. Our generation of men today want women that will be shared providers for the family. You want to share your rights with the woman, you have sort of made it her responsibility. Women are thought to be a liability when they decide to be house wives. You want a woman that will care for your home, why is it so wrong if the woman wants a man that will take care of her?
If you want her to bring food to the table, I think she isn't wrong if she also wants you to do the dishes. She isn't wrong if she wants equal pay at the office or equal appointments in politics. You have made her your equal in the house, so she wants to be your equal in the society.
The truth be said, she even ends up doing more than you, you marry a wife that provides 50% of the house hold expenses, she cooks, cleans and change the kids diapers. What makes you the head of that family? She is carrying more responsibilities, so she should be given an equal right.
Dear men, if you believe feminism is wrong, stop making women work as hard as you do but not treated with respect. Stop making them do more work at the office only to receive less pay. Stop making them work same hours at the office and go back home to their chores and think it is ok to say they are the lesser half. Stop making women think they are gold diggers for wanting a man that would care for them. You want a woman that would make your meals, clean your home and bear you children and yet women don't think you want them as a "trophy".
Stop making women think they deserve less, they are queens, they are your mothers, they are our mothers, give them their rights!
