A Walk on a Snowy Day
The sky was still black and little pink-purple colour was seen. I was still walking on the snowy path and on my I could see beautiful and old street lamps giving their dull orange light. The trees around me were covered with white snow to cover the dark green trees. Slowly the sun started to rise from the east and its colours, red, orange and yellow were mixing with the night sky as if they are playing a colourful festival.
Now finally at last, the dark scenery became white. I could see the beautiful scenery right in front of my eyes. It was breathtaking. Just the way the poet said in his poem. The woods covered with snow, but when you go closer to them, in those dark lovely woods, you might never know what lies over there. I was riding on my horse until I stopped right beside those woods. I kept staring at it and I was thinking was the poet thinking that was there a house in those dark, lovely woods and keeping a watch on his snowy forest? Then suddenly my horse shook its bell, asking do we have to go any further. Then I remembered this moment where I have read this poem.
I kept riding and riding until then I reached my destination. The frozen Crystal Lake. And it was so clear that you could see everything underwater. So beautiful. I sat there for a while and hearing the sweeping sound of the wind. It made my mind peaceful. I have dreamt to go here and now here I am. After a long time sitting here, I got up and took my horse and started to walk. When I was returning, I kept thinking about the poem, ”Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening”. The way Robert Frost has written it as if he kept describing it to me when I was with him the whole time.
