5th September
Teachers' Day is celebrated to honour Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan's birthday. Not only did he serve as the country's highest ranks, but it were the very ideals he talked about that make us celebrate the noble profession of teaching. One of his quotes famously reads:
“A true teacher is one who helps us think for ourselves.''

From the moment we step into our nursery classrooms, away from our parents, until the time we graduate, teachers guide us throughout. When you, as a parent, cannot be there, it is your children's educator who takes care of them, teaches them humanity and acts as a role model to look up to.

No number of thank you cards, flowers or gifts can be enough to express your gratitude for the thankless service teachers do. How can we forget about the greatest teachers our country had ever had? From Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, India has always had inspirational educators. Kids can learn so much from them. So, this Teachers' Day, there are two more educators parents should be teaching their children about, who, together, make for India's greatest leading lights. Everything your children get to learn today, it is because of them.

So this Teachers' Day, it is important you make your kids appreciate the guiding forces and helpers-the ones who gave them the wings to fly!
Happy Teachers' Day!
