One sweet day
We all have moments we dearly cherish and people who means the most to us. As I reflect on that one sweet moment, on that one sweet day, I envision the day I played the part of Mother Mary in my Sunday school play.

It was a moment of ecstasy! The curtains were opened and there I stood busy about my house work, when suddenly an angel appeared to me, played by one of my very dear Sunday school friend. He told me I was going to have a baby, and I was to call His name Jesus and this holy child, which shall be born through a virgin birth will become the Saviour of the world and the Only true God!

I answered the angel, and said how could that be for I know not a man. Then the angel said the holy spirit shall come upon me. Then scene one ended with me being so overwhelmed yet so filled with joy in my heart.

It was now time for the nativity scene. The curtains were now opened and I was seated in a stable and in my arms I held baby Jesus! I smiled at him and I felt so happy as if I really could feel exactly how the real mother Mary was feeling the day baby Jesus was born. Then the wise men played by three of my Sunday school friends came from afar, bringing gifts for baby Jesus.

Then a beautiful song was playing softly in the back ground. The song was called, " And so this is Christmas. " I was so happy as I got a standing ovation as the play ended. It was as if God was saying to me , well done thy good and faithful servant of God and it was as if the heavens rejoiced at my brilliant performance of playing Mother Mary.

I had practiced so much for this all important part. I spent time in prayer as I prepared myself for this beautiful play. I can also recall a very special person in my life, my dad had entered the church with a video camera in his hand. He was so proud of me and so was my mum and brother Ashlyn. I can also recall my niece, who was four at the time, being so filled with excitement as she stood on the chair watching me.

I will never forget that one sweet day and those special people in my life, that made my dreams of being used of God a reality, by playing Mother Mary. The entire congregation was such a blessing to me as well as they cheered as I began every opening scene in the play.

I had learnt a lot from going to Sunday school which was I got to know Jesus more and more. I got to learn about the Messiahs birth, his miracles and His profound beauty. I got to learn the bible. So my advice to the world is always believe in God and you will be rewarded by God himself, for the time is near and the second coming of Jesus is at hand. So never give up for that one sweet day awaits the world. We as God's children will gain eternal life and will be like a bride eagerly awaiting our bridegroom, Jesus as He will return on the clouds of glory and he will be accompanied by all His holy angels with Him. So until that one sweet day, repent from unrightousness and shun from evil and do good, for the time is near until we see Jesus face to face!
