I sat in the hall with pride and with a smile on my face. I held my chest high as I was really proud of my daughter knowing she was going to become a doctor.
My previous life was full of fights and battles, the only way myself and my wife came out of it was through Indu. She made us happy and she was taking us in a different and better direction that what we were in.
My daughter rocked the performance as usual! She really was a graceful dancer. We had even thought of pursuing a career in dance for her but fortunately for me, she chose medicine instead.
But something bothered me, I saw a large well built boy in the front row who was staring angrily at my daughter. All of a sudden he stood up and the entire section of the crowd went silent. He must be one of the bullies that Indu was telling me about. If he dared disturb my daughter, I will show him my anger and show him his place.
The performance ended with loud cheers from the crowd. I got up and started walking towards backstage. I had to congratulate my daughter and I was planning to take her out for dinner tonight.
Suddenly I saw that large bully come out of the backstage holding Irah's hand and taking her out of the auditorium. I was in shock and started following them.
"Whoever that guy is, he will pay for bothering my daughter today!" I said to myself and ran behind them. I could see that he was dragging Irah holding her hand and was going towards the playground.
"Why isn't Irah defending herself, she can easily beat that guy with her strength." I thought
I could see the two of them coming to a stop a little further away from the playground behind some trees. The bully was shouting at Irah who was trying to calm him and then all of a sudden I saw the guy slap my daughter. Irah fell on the floor and I could see her start crying.
I was beside myself with anger. I ran towards the guy and turned him around.
He was large but I was equal to his size. I grabbed his collar and lifted him off the ground.
"You are dead. " I growled at him in rage.
