In the Ramayana, Lord Rama kills the evil Ravana and immediately starts mourning. When Laxman enquires the reason, Rama states that Ravana despite his evil deed was a knowledgeable and devoted man. Rama further asks Laxman to go meet Ravana in his final moments and seek his wise words.

What did Ravana teach Laxman in his final moments?

𝔹𝕖 𝕙𝕦𝕞𝕓𝕝𝕖 𝕒𝕤 𝕒 𝕕𝕚𝕤𝕔𝕚𝕡𝕝𝕖

When Laxman at first went to Ravana to learn, Ravana was silent. Laxman returned and explained this to Rama who advised him to be at Ravana's feet instead of his head while going to learn. That's when Ravana imparted his wisdom. A disciple should be humble towards his teacher.

Ravana taught Laxman that good deeds need to be performed immediately and bad deeds need to be avoided. At the least, the bad deeds should be deferred as much as possible..

Either it's love or hate, the intensity should be immense and strong so that it acts like a driving force in your life.

It was unchecked pride and ego which clouded the judgement of the wise Ravana which led to his downfall. Always keep your ego in check to avoid making disastrous mistakes.

A minister who criticizes you or disagrees with you is better than ten others who praise you. Trust your minister who criticize you for they have your good in mind.
