...minetherin
old bells ringing
of memories fading
bringing to mind
the people of once upon a time

the village in the valley
whose people always go fishing
came to the shaman with a request
that the fishes never go out of season

famine soon came around
people raided the shaman
but he told them the gods
did things however they want

surrounded by two rivers
pestilence ravaged the land
the soil became bitter
and worse, children ate their mothers

weep for minetherin
a land once flowing with peace and fish
now a shadow of what it used to be
and the remnant of its people, savages

we sing it in songs today
of how their fortune suddenly changed
do we blame the gods?
or was it as a result of an ancient curse?

no one knows about this land of old
weep for minetherin, a land once bold
now, a desolate wasteland
not even a sand serpent can survive

old bells ringing
in our songs of antiquity
a land once big
a land once flowing with fishes.

Minetherin was inspired by 'the wheel of time'
