"It's a girl! "
The doctor gushed, placing the wailing infant on the woman's chest.
She heaved trying to catch her breath in the aftermath of her grueling labor. Tears of pain mingled briefly with tears of joy before dissolving into tears of sadness.
She had once again given birth to a girl! Her third daughter. What would her husband and in-laws do to her now?!? She prayed for her child that please God please save this one, I can't see her suffer...
Her fear takes place in her mind and all those memories once again flash through it. The fear of losing a child once again comes. The sounds of crying of her child, shouting of her family, begging of her own, laughter of her in-laws,.... all those are running in her mind. She's crying like a baby with her daughter who's in her arms. She doesn't want to lose her but she can't do anything, she can't even save her child.
And then her husband enters the room, she sees her...
