The Mysterious Forest
CHAPTER 3:
Vanilla and Tuxedo decided they should have another cub cause Vanilla thought she should try for a daughter. While she was pregnant she still managed to take Edgor and Raven hunting in the forest and taught them how to communicate with the trees to find prey. With Vanilla being pregnant again Edgor and Raven didn't know how they felt about another cub being in the family especially after them running off in the night.
Once the nine months had passed Vanilla was still doing her usual routine taking Edgor and Raven hunting in the forest but this time her waters broke and she was in labour she fell to the ground she couldn't stand. Edgor and Raven were panicking and trying to help Vanilla stand but she knew that she wouldn't be able to make it to the cave. Vanilla kept on growling for them to go away and keep watch cause she was about to give birth and Vanilla was in a vulnerable state around her prey lurking somewhere. Edgor and Raven finally understood what they needed to do so they kept watch. Vanilla gave birth to another cub in the middle of the mysterious and dangerous forest then called her Jinx. Jinx had soft black fur and bright red eyes just like Raven but her eyes were a bit more curved and had a more of an oval face shape where Raven was more rounded. Vanilla called back Edgor and Raven to introduce Jinx into the family, when they got there they watched Vanilla clean the blood off of her soft black fur and then began feeding Jinx.
Once Jinx was fed Vanilla was still feeling pretty weak so Edgor and Raven helped her up and they all walked together. Raven showed Vanilla a rabbit he managed to hunt down by himself while they were walking home, Vanilla was so happy and proud of him. While she was watching Jinx struggle to walk as it was a bit of a long walk for a cub. Vanilla picked Jinx up and carried Jinx in her mouth.
Vanilla and her cubs finally reached the lake where they all swam across and jinx was still in her mouth. Tuxedo heard them swimming in the water and quickly rushed into the lake to help Vanilla into the cave. Once Vanilla reached the cave she gently dropped Jinx on a pile of leaves and planked herself beside Jinx to keep her warm. Tuxedo spent the rest of the day and the whole night watching over them, he was worried about Vanilla and Jinx as Vanilla had her in the middle of the forest. Tuxedo was really happy with his new daughter though.
The next day Vanilla fed Jinx while Edgor and Raven played outside of the cave. After Jinx was fed Vanilla went outside to take Edgor and Raven hunting while Tuxedo watched over Jinx. While Edgor and Raven were chasing rabbits Vanilla came across a dear and showed Raven how to pounce off a tree just like how she taught him. Raven only did that for fun but now it was time for him to attack a dear for the first time. Raven climbed the tree and gently walked on a branch and waited for the dear to come over to the tree. The dear slowly approached the tree while Raven was getting in position to attack. At the right moment Raven attacked the dear and killed it so that was enough food for the family for the week especially with the rabbit.
While Vanilla was making sure Edgor wasn't getting in Raven's way she made a beautiful crown made out of flowers as a present for her daughter. Vanilla gave the crown to Edgor so he could bring it back to the cave for her because she needed to help Raven take back his first dear. Once they got back to the cave Raven was telling Tuxedo about how he got his first dear and Tuxedo was so pleased with Raven. Edgor gave the crown to Vanilla and she placed the flower crown on Jinx while she was sleeping.
The next day Vanilla fed Jinx while Edgor and Raven played outside of the cave. After Jinx was fed Vanilla went outside to take Edgor and Raven hunting while Tuxedo watched over Jinx. While Edgor and Raven were chasing rabbits Vanilla came across a dear and showed Raven how to pounce off a tree just like how she taught him. Raven only did that for fun but now it was time for him to attack a dear for the first time. Raven climbed the tree and gently walked on a branch and waited for the dear to come over to the tree. The dear slowly approached the tree while Raven was getting in position to attack. At the right moment Raven attacked the dear and killed it so that was enough food for the family for the week especially with the rabbit.
Vanilla was so happy to finally have a daughter. She also decided that it was almost time for Edgor and Raven to go hunting by themselves. Vanilla told them that night how much they have improved and told them that she needs to see them working together more before she can let them in the forest alone. Vanilla's concerned because she now has three cubs to take care of.
When Vanilla takes Edgor and Raven hunting from now on she only just watches and only helps them to take the prey back to the cave. Vanilla's teaching Edgor and Raven to be more independent so they can take care of themselves and each other.
