The Christmas holidays last 13 days.
This duration depends on the fact that our ancestors measured time in two ways:

1) according to the cycles of the Moon
2) according to those of the Sun.

But the lunar year and the solar year have different durations therefore, placing the two calendars side by side,
a hole of 12-13 days is created.
This temporal space is a time outside of time, 12-13 days that belong neither to the past year nor to the new one, and which for our ancestors represented the border between the old year and the new one.
