My Cocaine Mom (chapter one con)
Something was different about Mom's outing today! it's was pass 4am and she was not yet home like she used to.
I was worried and restless being that this had never happened before and added to the fact that she misunderstood me earlier.
I told myself to keep calm that she's an adult. But, remembering the fact that she's a drug addict, only increased my thoughts..
Heaven knows that no matter what the world around us thinks about my Mom, I don't give a fuck! it's doesn't change the fact that she's still my only true love.. I love my Mother and believe all of her mess will be clean out by me someday! even if she can't see that.

Every footstep took me out that door
but, all ended up not being her footsteps. I was bittered and depressed
Mom was no where to be found even at the exact time she left home yesterday, my heartbeat increased I couldn't have any food or drink. Hmmmm how could I even think of food??? when my only family was no where to be found.
All I wanted was my Mom
I can't tell if she knew what I was going through at that moment.
Has she had anything to eat yet??
Oh God of Israel!!
Where is my one and only family???
27hours now?
Shall I go to the police?
who do I seek advice now?? Nobody associates with us..
God are you there??
Please protect her for me
Please oluwa!
Abeg no let water pass garri oooo....

My worries only increased, 48hours now?
Oh Abasi Mi where is my Mom??
I got skinny in 48hours
I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep, I couldn't stop blaming me for disrespecting her the day she left home...

knock knock????
I opened the door, it's was a police officer*
good day sir.... he just nod to my greeting
I guess you are faith madam Joy's dau.... I just couldn't wait for him to complete the sentence
yes! yes Sir, I'm her daughter.
I went on my knees immediately
please sir where is my life???
The officer was quiet for a moment like he was trying to arrange his words
Hmmmm miss faith he said reluctantly, you see your Mom was seen along a lonely road were she was overdosed and passed out and we found some samples of cocaine and some other minor pills with her and, she was tested positive to many illegal drugs. which you know is against our constitution here in Nigeria.
So she shall be charged to court to face the law...

I woke up in a hospital bed and was told by a nurse that I have been here for over 20hours* that I passed out and a police officer brought me here.
Instantly the police officer's words echoed in my brain
I started weeping bitterly. The nurse was surprised and tried to console me but, at that moment nothing could console me better than seeing my only family that is about to spend years in prison.
