A liltyle about me i am a native to the East .
I was born in the forests of the western ghats in southern India in absolulte wilderness .
Wild as i was too..
Despite all my skills ,properties and Medicinal benifits , I remember i was a Vagabond.
Much later in my teens a villager discovered me and my properties(Skills)
He decided to "USE ME" and "SELL ME".
Everyone around including my family said i was very beautiful this feeling took me by hoots and I was proud .


Today my siblings and family members ( people like me ) also live in Sri Lanka, Guatemala, China and Tanzania.
The ancient Egyptians chewed me as a tooth cleaner; the Greeks and Romans used it as a perfume.
After all i smelled awesome with my refreshing pungent Aroma I was called
"Queen of Spices "
just the other day i saw onw young boy in his teens had smoked marijuana and popped me to avoid getting cought by his girlfriend and patents.. hahah i loved this importance and precedence i enjoyed in others lives
I protected my seeds all along as part of me..
Untill that fatefull day i reached a factory making flavoured syrups.
i heard the manager instructing the assemble line workers
" de-Skin these cardamom pods seperate them we only need the inside pods...!!!
I wondered and me?
Am i not usefull?
What happens to me?
feeling lost i waited to see what happened.

They collected me into a container
sorted me out. They removed my moisture.
stripped me of my entire identity .
And while giving me to a spice dealer
Can u beleive they were renegotiating my price(my value) has suddenly dropped....
By this time I was at the rock bottom of my self esteem.
What really killed me is when the dealer told
Elaichi(Cardamom) as i am called in India , The real thing is the seeds.. yeh toh sirf skin hai...iska kaam toh sirf protect karna hai... Kaam Khatam maaal second hai...

Cardamom's real use is in its pods The role of this green skin is just protective cover its job is only to protect the pods.. once the pods are taken out safely this is SECOND QUALITY COMMODITY its role over.. for cover...
I feel i have been a elaichi all my life .
My purpose is to provide protection.
once my #use is over i am #second quality and #a commodity...
after all the emotional and physical wear and tear... bound to be
Second quality commodity!
