Alice didn't tell her children that she was sick, she had breast cancer, stage 4 terminal stage, because she didn't want her kids to be worried about her.

At the hospital...

"What happened, Alice?" Her sister entered the room and asked her.

"Brenda, it's getting worse." Alice for the first time in her life cried on her sister's shoulder.

"Oh, my sister, hush now." Brenda comforts Alice.

"Mommy, what happened?" Anne and Lloyd worriedly asked their mom.

Alice just comforts her children for she doesn't want to end their hug.

At their home where Alice hides all her medicines, "Mommy, what is that?" Lloyd asked Alice.

"Nothing, my son, it's just vitamins." Alice hugs her son, as she sobs silently.

"Brenda, it's Anne's birthday tomorrow, can you throw a party for her?" Alice told Brenda.

"Oh yes, my darling sis," Brenda answered cheerfully Alice.

"I know that it's going to be hard for them but can you take them, when I pass away?" Alice told Brenda.

"Of course, sis," Brenda answered Alice, as they were both crying.

On the day of Anne's birthday, Alice passed away silently.

"Mommy, why didn't you tell us?" Anne cried harder and harder.

"Mom has a reason, my love," Brenda answered Anne, as they were crying.

"Bye Mommy, we love you." Anne and Lloyd said to their mom and then they looked up above.

Brenda took the kids already because she had no children and the kids, as time passed by remembered their mom's sacrifice for them and they loved their mom no matter what happened.
