How did the worst character (by morality) became the most beloved character of the whole franchise, Bungou Stray Dogs?

Well, first of all, he's a very complex, well-written, and well-rounded character.

But, surely, there are more to it.

For example,

Relatability.

No, not relatable in a way that he's a criminal—an abuser or murderer.

Relatable as in, he wishes to die because he doesn't see the purpose of living.

Relatable in a way that he doesn't have an eating schedule or a sleeping schedule.

Relatable for those who suffers internally—those who fights endless, unseen battles every day, with no one to tell them ‘great job’, because no one sees how hard the battle was, therefore their hard-earned win isn't really earned.

Dazai Osamu isn't all looks or brains.

He is the oxygen to many.

Dazai Osamu is the very reflection of us.

He is the man in the mirror.

Dazai Osamu is who we are and what we need to change.
