2: miss mystery
TWO. (other's pov)
Do not miss the first part.

The time rushes in on the pedestrian as the school bus made an abrupt brake before the unconscious girl. The sound of exhausted tires contributes to the sudden switch of moment from noise to silence.

A girl named Willa who's heeding to her music in her wireless earpiece, wearing an oversized faded black hoodie jacket that covers up half of her pale face.

There she has a thick book clipped by her left arm and a tiny emerald bag like a lazy monkey hanging on her back. She continues her way until she reaches the end of the pedestrian lane without realizing how edgy she made to nerve the bus driver and the kids inside the vehicle.

The bus driver looks sideways and yawps. But the girl seems so constant and decisive to reach her way, so the bus just rides away like a speedy jet to show the driver's rage.

Meanwhile, Willa's phone rings for the twenty fourth time already, yet she's not bothered by it. She checks at her phone to know whether it's her mother or her friend Ally, but either way, she won't answer the call.

As she enters the rusty gate of her microscopic boarding space, the security guard approaches her with a creepy smile and a steady look to her face. Finally, Willa stretches her lips again after a serious face straight for eight hours at school.

As usual, the guard leads her to the doorway of her room carrying her loads. The thing is, the humanitarian act of the guard is not properly distributed to all the boarders but noticeably to Willa only, and it's not a pleasant scene to watch. But perhaps, Willa is the most susceptible among all the boarders: never had a visitor since then, often in a down face, and rarely talks.

The guard frequently goes to the second floor to check on her, making sure that Willa is solemn on her bed by the window's snippet— that always happens since Willa started to share her life's trouble.

The guard seeks for a dark space to hide. He used to believe that it's his responsibility to give the compound's security overnight.

It's early in the evening. And it's raining heavily. You can here the jumping raindrops from the roof. You can even smell the rain from the hallway.

There's darkness everywhere. If you're standing in the hallway, you'd think that you're blind. All of the rooms' lights are switched off, you can see it from the rooftop.

The gyved keys on the guard's pocket suddenly interferes the silent night as it clangs. One room's light instantly turns on, and a topless man appears like a performer under a spotlight to investigate the disturbing noise. He is suspecting that someone is screaming in pain, but he's not so sure if he can hear it well since the rain sounds like buzzing bees.

He even takes small steps through the darkness but he also tries to convince himself that he's just hallucinating. So he just slams the door and continues his sleep.

The next morning, Willa is splashed on the news. She is covered with blood, half naked, and lifeless. She is murdered by an unknown suspect. The whole apartment is locked down by a yellow tape, while the policemen and detectives are keeping record of the crime scene.

All is busy to apprehend the enigma.

The police confiscate Willa's phone as a record to examine the incident. They take Willa's mysterious case under custody.

They learned a death threat from her friend Ally, as recorded on her phone's text message which Willa hasn't even read until she died. They also figured out that Willa has a big trouble with her mother causing her to leave from home. Some text messages and unanswered phone calls from her mother are registered and seen as an alibi.

The guard tells the policemen about the man next door who disappears so suddenly before the crime is learned. He must have an alibi to disappear all of a sudden.

"The man next door ambiguously disappeared. He was just here last night," the guard reports in a cracking voice.

Howbeit, the gyved keys are found in the crime scene, but the guard refuses to agree that he is responsible for it. He is convincing enough as his face suddenly looks kind and innocent. He narrates his friendship to Willa in her four months of stay in the apartment instead. He shows empathy that he is acquitted for a breach through his convincing tone while his soring hands are shivering in fear.
