A Story Of Buying Freedom And Happiness
#WritcoStoryPrompt3
I read it once, then twice, I wasn’t imagining it - I had won the lottery! The lottery where I could finally buy my freedom and happiness. Yes, buy them. No, they are not offered freely into this world. Nothing is. You have to buy them. Buy the things which are already yours. I know, funny. But it’s the truth.

So now, as I have legitimately won the lottery and bought my freedom and happiness, what would I do with them? I was thinking of running to the salon first, maybe cut my hair short; leaving enough space for air to come to join me for tea. I don’t care about stereotypes associated with short hair girls not finding men. Oh yes, the next step from salon would be to bump into one of my prince charming. I said ONE of my prince charming, I couldn’t recognize my soul mate by just meeting him a few times. You people can call that my ill fate. I couldn’t believe I can buy my ‘freedom of love and choice’ by this lottery ticket. I am so still in shock.

I still have to figure out if this works on making casual things seem casual. Maybe I would try that too today itself by sitting on the sofa in the most comfortable way possible. There’s so much more to explore. All the plans keep pilling up one after another. I have to talk to my male friends without society automatically turning them into my boyfriends. I have to wear clothes that do not make me sweat more with all the extra hanging sleeves. I have to travel without anyone noticing me like a piece of cake rather than just a simple girl. I have to wear makeup not to impress others but to impress myself; feeling beautiful in every nerve so that I don’t have to wait for someone to tell me the same.

Oh god, I forgot the most important thing, I’ve to make people listen to me and take me seriously.

There’s so much to do. There’s so much to buy.
