Social isolation had forced an eerie silence upon them. While fear haunted their existence, one question was at the forefront.
When was this going to end?
Her name was Neha. It was late evening as she started her scooter and hurried towards her home. Her mother-in-law had insisted her to take some days off from work till the pandemic outbreak had been eradicated. But she was working on a project for couple of days and was almost at the end of executing it, and she wanted to submit it before the target deadline set by her manager. Her husband, considering his wife’s profession, had instructed her to return home at least before evening. He had also told her to avoid traffic and crowds while travelling and to wear a protective face mask.
Neha is a determined, confident and intelligent lady. She has been happily married to a guy working as a Customer Service Manager at an Auto-mobile company. She works as a web designer for a Multi National Company. Her aim is to start her own software company in a few months. Her parents-in-law are over sixty and often suffer from physical ailments .
She reached home just as her phone started ringing. It was her husband. She spoke to him and explained the reason of being late. Some of the employees have taken leave following the panic caused due to the ‘CORONA-virus outbreak’ and she had to spend extra hours with her team to ensure the completion of their task. She asked her husband to be back home early and to take care. She parked her scooter and entered her house.
Her parents-in-law were watching Television. She greeted them and went into her room and changed into a typical housewife...
