You know how on the Internet or any other blog post, they give writing tips for you to have “5000+ subscribers" or writing tips that tell you the secret is always "consistency?" Yeah, well it's not. For me at least.

I found it funny in a way, because those who write those kinds of stuff don’t even have that number of subscribers or followers. So, why the heck do you think I’d listen to you?

"For you to be a writer, you'd have to do this, you'd have to do that.” Tell you what, do you think if you started a new newsletter or blog, it would gain 200+ subscribers overnight? It doesn't work that way; you'd have to do certain things.

1. Follow some people.
2. Subscribe to a lot of newsletters.
3. Comment on a gazillion newsletters—and then wait as they subscribe or follow you back.
