Chapter 1: Alpha

I started walking fast. My heart is beating wildly never wanting to leave that place. I closed my eyes slightly frustrated.

"What do you think your doing?" I hissed my inner self. She then growled.

I am hurt but I don't know why. I feel like there is something wrong.

Something mystical, I cannot fathom. I don't have much memories here since we migrated to Syntra when I was still a kid.

I am reading a book to distract myself from wandering. Hours passed when I heard a knock.

"Reverie, darling" that was her first statement. She was sophisticated, dispite of her grey hair and wrinkled skin, it was still evident that she is once a gorgeous woman.

"You grew up beautifully". Happiness was written in her face. Her eyes were sparkling in delight. For the first time, I felt at peace, she's different from the people in downtown.

"My name is Aurora, your grandmother's bestfriend and your parents' godparents".
