Emily wiped the flour from her hands onto her apron, surveying the bustling bakery. The aroma of freshly baked croissants and bread wafted through the air, making her heart swell with pride.

Just as she was about to start prepping for the lunch rush, the doorbell above the entrance jingled, signaling the arrival of a new customer. Emily's eyes met those of a handsome stranger, who was holding the hand of a little girl with curly brown hair.
