"It's night of 10 may 1933,it feels like a beginning of something really miserable ,i am writing this from the prison of munich, today thousands of students under the campaign of student union burned thousand of books of those whom they viewed as subversive,
I am Roger Howards and i am writing this in my personal diary gifted to me by my ex-wife, it was a different phase of my life everything seems pleasing and good, its all gone now 
Since I began to questioned the authoritative power of adolf hitler nothing seems to be in my favour, my wife left me 2 years ago because i never gave her time and always was busy in writing books and novels and after the secret police gestapo captured my home there was nowhere to go,my only mission is to throw away hitler from the reign.I think i should sleep now,as the gaurds must be coming any time soon and  this diary is not allowed in prison see you tomorrow or some other day diary , good night!!"
