Exotic species

One evening while recording observations near the Chandoli Sanctuary at the Sahyadri Tiger Reserve, I saw a tortoise. The area near the ears is reddish and the rest of the body is greenish gray. Curiously, he began to gather information that the species was not from India but from South America and Mexico. His name is 'Red-eared Slider Turtle'! In these countries and now unfortunately in India too, this turtle has become a favorite pet.
