He was sitting at the bar with his beer
She was at a table enjoying a whiskey
He caught the attention of this woman
He didn't notice that she came to greet

He concentrated on his beer in front
He didn't realize she was beside him
Too caught up in his own tiny world
She was too nervous to ask anything

She thought she would write a note
Give it to him when she had courage
She scribbled a few words on paper
And hand to him the private message

She folded the note and started to move
But after a second thought, sat back down
After being next to her for thirty minutes
He still hasn't even looked up or around

He was guarding his drink with care
Nothing could make him turn away
She was getting frustrated a bit now
She needed something simple to say

Thinking of an ice breaker to begin
She thought I will ask him the time
He had a watch on his right wrist
She says to herself it will be fine

She walks up and says excuse me
But could you tell me the time please
He looks at his watch and says eight ten
She smiles and was just about to leave

He mumbles something very softly
She didn't hear so she says pardon?
Clearing his throat he says clearly
Would you mind if I got you a drink?.

Surprised by his question says really?
He answered yes I'm here by myself
A drinking partner would be great
So then she quickly introduced herself

They talked right until the bar closed
Laughing, joking, telling some stories
All night they became closer and closer
They fell in love just like in the movies

They moved in together and were married
Soon they had kids and lived so happily
One day their son asked how they met
The mother said it's the power of the galaxy
