Chapter 44
Jason's P.O.V
I laughed as Jase and Jessy chased each other around me. I still don' t know where they get there energy from. I looked at Jessica who was talking to my parents. She looked happy and uncomfortable at the same time. I could tell why. I mean who would feel comfortable in an environment where you were a stranger now. Especially after so many years. My dad and mom gave their speeches and introduced Jase and Jessy as their grandchildren. I could see the questions printed on their faces; not to mention when he said that Jessica and I were the parents. Other than that, I noticed something strange. Jessica's parents were in a corner standing in total shock. As if they saw a ghost. I had no idea they were there. They stood there staring at Jessica who had no idea of what was coming her way. I sighed. Jessica's back was turned towards them. She was now talking and laughing to Sara. At least that made her comfortable. I saw when Mrs. Richards walked up to her slowly with tears in her eyes. I was not even a feet away; so I could see everything. " Jessica?", she asked in disbelief.

Jessica's P.O.V
I was talking to Sara about the men that I dated and the relationships that failed. She told me about hers and at some instances I found myself laughing. In my heart, I was happy that Sara and I bonded back after 5 years. It was then that I heard someone called my name from behind. I instantly recognized the voice and stopped talking. I turned around slowly looking at the person. My mom. " Mom?", I asked in disbelief. I saw when dad walked up beside her. I looked at both of them shaking my head. All the thoughts of them kicking me out of the house when I was pregnant and not reaching out to me at all over the year s came rushing back in my head. Tears flooded my eyes. I needed to get out of here or else I would lose my mind. "Jessica.....",dad started reaching for my hands. I stepped back immediately. " No!. I don' t want to hear it!", I shouted looking at them and searching for Jase and Jessy.
