Around 3 o'clock
"Mom, I'm heading out now," Ember announced just loud enough for her mom to hear across the hall.
"Okay, dear. Stay safe, okay?" Ember's mom replied as she made her way through the hall to see her daughter out.
But what she witnessed as she saw Ember in the living room made her pout. Ember had been sticking sheets of post-its in various areas surrounding the room; from the television, to the walls, as well as on the tables and frames.
"Ember, I'm not a kid anymore. You should find that painfully obvious by now," she complained, still pouting.
"Mom, it's really important that you remember to take your meds. You've been refusing to hire a personal nurse or even a housemaid to assist you while I'm away. So this is for the best."
Her mom didn't argue anymore, though she still find her methods a little too much.
"Don't forget, mom. Okay?" Ember said as she peered through the door one last time.
"Take care," her mom called out just before she could shut the door behind her. "But really, this is just too much," she complained again with her arms crossed as she observed what her daughter had done to the room.
She started to smile playfully as a thought flashed...
