Where is Happiness?
Once there is an old woman who gave birth to a graceful child. With her gentleness and sweetness, every people who touches the baby feel so much joy in their hearts. So, the mother named her Happiness. Despite of having no husband, the mother feel satisfied with having her child alone. Their life is not quite much, but they are able to survive all throughout the day. They are both contented.
Soon, Happiness grows and becomes more beautiful. Her beauty is so addictive that people from the same village where they live cannot take their eyes off from her. Even the mother herself becomes obsessed with her. So, the mother hides her to their house and do not let her at least let the sun touches her skin.
At first, Happiness feels joyful of having fun with her mother alone. But, as time passes by, she feels terrified to her mother because of her obsession. Her mother does not allow her to go even at the backyard for laundry. She is forbidden to talk to any people outside. Her mother does not want her to go at any place that cannot reach her sight. Because of Happiness' beauty, the mother thinks that people will take Happiness away from her if they see her. So, she locks her up to their house.
Happiness cannot take any longer the obsession of her mother, so she plans to escape. But as soon as she is about to execute her plan, her mother notices it and forces her to stop. Her mother throws her at the basement and locks her up. She is full of bruises. Three days passed, Happiness becomes weak. The child who was once beautiful and charming is now skinny and pale. Her mother lets her go from the basement. "Sweetie, you know how much I love you right? That's why I'm protecting you. Don't ever plan to go away from me, okay?" her mother said with gentle tone, but she feels chill and answered, "Y-yes, m-mother." "That's my girl!" cheerful, the mother said.
One year later, the mother went outside screaming at the top of her lungs, "WHERE IS HAPPINESS?! WHO TOOK MY HAPINESS?! WHERE DID YOU TAKE MY HAPPINESS?!" The people from the village look at her. Someone asks to another, "What is the happiness she is looking for?", "It was her child who passed away. After a year, she could not take the grief and went crazy. Every morning, she screams looking for her child and later cries because she was not able to take care of her child with true love."
