My Childhood
#WritcoStoryPrompt6
I can never forget the joyous days of my childhood, especially the summer when all we did was swim in the river or lie on it's edge.
I remember being in the library for hours, experiencing the wonders of the hills with Mr Bond, pitiying the plight of Oliver Twist, imagining romances with Ms. Austen, making witty remarks with Elizabeth Bennett, getting lost in the wonderland with Alice, going on adventures with the four March sisters, fighting battles in Narnia for the kings and queens or gaining excellence in magic in Hogwarts.

There were hours to spend without any strenous work to do, hours I would just spend to day dream. I would dream of becoming a writer like Jo March, dance with Mr. Darcy, to select gowns with Mrs. Allen and show my grace to the whole of Bath like Catherine.

But those days are coming to an end and only a few years of joy are left. This oblivion of bliss will now end and it will become like a dream lost after one wakes up in the morning.
In the end I can only say, "I can't believe childhood is over. " just like Jo.

But then again, I never thought of it, but we were just not having fun, we were making memories, memories of a lifetime. Memories which we would remember in our darkest times, memories we will tell to the ones who are yet to make theirs, memories which will never die even after childhood will finish forever.
