Revival
On matters revival, we must understand that GOD does not dwell on trends and the hype. GOD dwells in truth and the truth is in HIS Word. A truth that does not change and flactuate like the trends and hype we have in the World.
Revival is instigated by the HOLY SPIRIT and not when man decides its revival time. Meaning it's not about what is trending or what the current hype environment looks like or when we snap our fingers.
Revival is not an emotion or a feeling, but a truth that will not die with what the flesh wants and doesn't want. Meaning the flesh has to die for a true revival to happen. It recognises the holiness of GOD and HIS sovereignty.
Revival is permanent, not a one time event and then business as usual. It causes a continuous change of heart and a change of heart starts with faith in JESUS CHRIST, by hearing the Word of GOD and allowing the HOLY SPIRIT to work it out in our lives.
Revival will be experienced when there is a willingness to love GOD and to walk in HIS will and commands. We can't be deliberately in sin, ignoring the Word of GOD and living in the flesh and then create an event called, “revival.” A Godly revival has GOD's holiness written all over it. And for them going through one, they can tell you GOD had to separate them from places and people they thought were right. It comes with obedience and righteousness.
Revival will come with a beautiful desire to know GOD deeper. It will come with an unquenchable thirst and a hunger, never experienced before, to spend more time and stay in GOD's Word.
Revival comes with a zeal to evangelise and make disciples for CHRIST. It comes with a passion for the Church of CHRIST, awakening a deeper love for the brethren.
Revival will come only where there is the truth of GOD. Not what we want the truth to be, what we think the truth is or have concocted it to be, but what the HOLY SPIRIT says it is. We will not experience a revival unless we stand on and in the true Word of GOD.
