My White Blossom
#WritcoStoryPrompt119
What does a white blossom symbolize? Write anything about such in a short story form.

I sit with you in the morning light. The faint sunrise reflecting off of your face as you turn to look at me back. Our eyes meet. So Pure, so fragile, like a flower in the field. But you also have another emotion to you, fear. Fear that your fragile figure in the vast fields would be chosen and plucked, killing you from the roots instantly. And then you don't realize you're even dead until you start to wilt. How tragic, a beautiful blossom like you lives in as cruel of a world as this. And I cannot help you.

You smile at me, your glowing pollen shining through. It touches me, but I cannot feel such emotion. You know this, yet you try anyway, even though it is you in the end, who is hurt immensely.

"Can you at least pretend to be happy?"

"I cannot show emotion."

She sighs, looking back at the sunrise in front of us,

"Then I will do it for you."

"Tell me." I begin,

"Why do you try so hard, only to fall back down.. Starting from the beginning?"

"Because.. I must."

"You know you have a choice."

"I know. And I have made that choice. I will help you show emotion."

I glance at her determined face. Too bad, she's just falling back down the rabbit hole again.
