Eventually that catastrophic pandemic was over and those monotonous online classes too. Every student had a soulful joy because after a sabbatical the schools were going to reopen. Those lovely bits and bobs were going to resume. The day the school got reopened there was chaos in the assembly ground, on the stairs in fact everywhere, the same situation was in all the schools. Anushka, a new girl in the district’s well known school, was stepping down the stairs. September's autumn breeze was to blow her lob hairs, her beauty was the reason behind the freshness of the morning. Aaditya, who has been studying in the same school for years, unexpectedly saw her. For the first time, he felt affected towards someone. An overwhelming desire flourished in his cardio. Since he was oblivious to her, he kept going.
(The teacher in 9th class was taking attendance…..)
Aaditya…Present sir
Anushka…Anushka…(who is Anushka? The teacher asked), sorry sir…present sir (she hesitated).
Teacher: Are you new to this school?
She: Yes sir.
Teacher: Ok, be vigilant hereafter.
She: Ok sir.
Amidst Aaditya saw Anushka, on finding her to be the same girl he had seen in the morning, he felt optimistic about his desire. On the other hand Anushka also laid on the same situation when she saw Aaditya. Now both were having overwhelming desires.
The teacher announced that all the chapters taught in the online classes will be taught again. Listening to this all the students start discussing with smiles. The teacher ordered the students to get quiet and asked “Does anybody have the documents of the notes I have sent in the group during the online classes?”.
Anushka and Aditya (Simultaneously): Yes sir, I have.
Teacher: Great! One of you, take my number from the contact register in the interval and send them to me by today.
(Both giggled in themselves)
In the interval they just pondered about each other and their desire but they thought each other to be tough. Anushka and Aaditya coincidently went together to take the teacher’s contact from the register but seeing Anushka is also going Aaditya paved his path back to his seat. Anushka took the number from the register and went back to her seat with a cute smile. (What was the reason behind her smile?)
Aaditya on reaching home finds that someone has sent him the contact number of the teacher. Thinking about who will be the stranger, his heartbeat got more pronounced. He hesitatingly replied to the message, Thanks and asked who is this?
At bedtime, a reply came - My pleasure. I am of your class.
Aaditya (texted): Name?
On the other hand Anushka was nervous and tensed about whether she should tell her name or not? Eventually she replied, Anushka here. Now the same situation has jumped over Aaditya. To continue, Aaditya asked her “why she had sent him the number, she too had the documents so why didn't she send them to the teacher directly?”.
Anushka: I saw you going to take the number but before I was to let you go you went back. Therefore I thought You should send the documents thereby I sent you the number.
Aaditya: Oh! No worries, you should have sent them. By the way, from where did you get my number?
Anushka: From the contact register only.
Aaditya: Oh! That's why you were smiling.
Anushka: Yes, but how did you see?
Aaditya: I do have two eyes to perceive an adorable beauty and a cute smile.
(Now both were smiling filled with joy and have understood everything)
Anushka (texted): “ilu”.
Aaditya, unaware of the fact that what “ilu” means asked her the meaning of that but Anushka lied and said it means GOOD NIGHT….!
With time they became caring to each other, kept each other up in all the ups and downs and also achieved many achievements and remained bonded in the clean bond of half friendship half relationship.
