Cats and kingdoms #1
It is freezing cold here..How do I get out of this horrendous place? It is sickening enough to be stuck here in between two adjacent cave walls in a distant, desolate area, far from my little house.
What's more horrifying is that I can't get out of here unless I get past guards who have been searching for me,perhaps, for two hours now. Let me make it clear-those are not just any guards that you think you will find in this century..they are "adorned" with what looked like aluminum foil, silvery and glossy. But I felt like I am gazing at an animal's skin. And they were like mini sized trolls-ugly and smelly and strange.Very strange. I shook my head, and sighed, because, obviously, being trapped in a small space like this drove me crazy. It would drive you crazy too. I bet.
I felt an enormously strong grip of watery fingers on my ankles. The pull was downwards, into the hardened clay on which I stood.I could hardly resist the grasp of those fingers, each one as large as a rolling pin. Before I knew what was happening, I was inside a water body....no,the body of a watery animal...!I could make out from the ears and the constant purring sounds it was making. That this must be some cat.I was immersed in water.I was bewildered. Because, you know, I was breathing. Alive. I was suspended inside it's body like a baby inside a mother's womb. I was untouched by the water. It could not wet me. I couldn't touch it either. The animal stood in a cave, rather still.
But I sensed danger...It was a gut feeling. And It was right too. As I saw it later. A young man who was dressed like a warrior, came into the cave.
And the animal was slain. I thought I was dead the moment he raised his sword into the air to slay it.
It didn't bleed and neither did I. But the cat lay before me like a real slaughtered animal...it didn't lose shape and become water, like I thought it would. It's head and body (now separate)looked exactly like a cat's, except that this one is gigantic. Tears welled up in my eyes,I don't know why,but I cried and was in agony...for a beast that I met a few minutes ago.Slowly,to my astonishment, the animal seemed to turn into glass...and
it rose into the air on it's own
and for the next minute, the cave was illuminated by a
graceful bluish gray light. It transitioned into a living animal, now made up of transparent glass.
A gentle, agile ginormous pet of mine now,and the most loyal being I have ever met. You will have to know more about me and my pet to understand all this.
And yes,my birth and everything else.
