It is okay to let them go!
Someone told me something yesterday, and it was an eye-opener for me:

'I don't have friends, but I'm always very careful with the people I call friends.'

For as long as I can remember, I have been so lonely, and I could do anything to have friends. I would pretend to be someone I am not. When I finally succeed, I would tolerate a lot of nonsense because I was afraid to lose my 'friends.'

Today, I learned it is okay to let people go, especially if they are not treating you properly.

There is this popular saying: 'You can't drink poison even if you are thirsty.'

If you are in a group that doesn't make you feel seen or heard, leave it. Just because you aren't valued there doesn't mean you wouldn't find a place where you are valued.

When everything feels like it is going wrong, take deep breaths and tell yourself everything is going to be okay. Even if you feel as if you are stuck in a dark tunnel, remember that one day, you will see the light at the end of the tunnel.
